About

I am Emma L’Heureux, graduate of Southern New Hampshire University with a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design & Media Arts. I have a unique, alternative, and innovative vision that I express passionately through my art. My work is not only graphic design related, as I have skills and experience in game design, photography, illustration, painting, sculpting, fashion, and cosmetic application.

As a child, I spent my time devoted to my favorite multimedia outlets- including reading, drawing, crafting, watching cartoons, and playing video games. By the age of 12, I had already begun teaching myself HTML coding, and creating my own graphics in various programs. At the time, the gaming website Neopets gave users the ability to edit and customize the coding of certain web pages, and even provided guides on how to do so. Without this part of my childhood, I would have never become inspired to study graphic design.

While attending Central High School in Manchester, NH, I took the opportunity to attend the Manchester School of Technology simultaneously where I studied Game Design for 2 years. I was one of only two female students in a class total of 20. Learning about the creation of 3D environments and objects, along with the psychology involved in the gaming industry was a completely unique experience.

I first attended Mount Washington College, then transferred to Southern New Hampshire University. Besides graphic design, my hobbies and interests include anything related to art, alternative fashion, video games, cats, cooking, listening to music, and thrift shopping. My personal motto is “I take a lot of nothing and turn it into something.” Situations and events in my personal life have taught me to be resourceful, and learning to use whatever I can to make things work. These skills that have led me to success in my past endeavors, and I am proud of the background that I came from.

I have most recently begun pursuing my Master’s in Marketing at Southern New Hampshire University, and look forward to more new adventures and opportunities in my future.
